RALEIGH, NC His formative years are the late 60’s & early 70’s as rock music exploded. His love of music took a turn his senior year in high school when he joined a local radio station. After high school, it became full-time. He spent the next few years at small market stations in eastern NC. Time now to pursue his other life-long interests of playing music, writing & HOSTING THIS STATION.
Blackstone
RALEIGH, NC A reformed garrulous barrister. Cut his teeth on Slowhand, the Glimmer Twins, and Jimi. Didn’t go Greek, but instead joined the brotherhood of jocks at WKNC with Don, Harry, and Chrystal. A surviving bandmate of blues rock garage ghosts Oliver Twist, Ledbetter Jones, and the Magical Hippies. Now the ringleader for his nightly Rock n’ Roll Circus and the cool Dad who woke you up in the morning.

RALEIGH, NC A long time progressive rock fan starting when his friend Jeff loaned him a copy of Yes’ “Fragile” album back in 1972, he arrived at NC State University in ‘75. He joined the staff of WKNC-FM a year later & remained on the air until 1982. He has been an avid prog rock fan to the present day & regularly visits record stores looking for hidden gems in the used CD bins!
"JW" (Jimmy Wayne)
HOUSTON, TX Played with popular Texas & Louisiana regional bands in the 60’s & shared the stages with talents like B.J. Thomas, BB King, Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland & Albert Collins. After a gig courtesy of the US Army, he laid it down until the late 80's where he picked it up again. Writing, recording & performing many different styles of music are his passion. Hope & Inspiration his goal ! He is currently playing with The Frisco Circle Band. ( www.friscocircle.com )
"Cross-Tie" Walker
CLEVELAND, OH He is overwhelmed by the power & mystery of a piece of music & inspired most when there are those rare moments he's playing with a band & the rhythm section is in a deep, powerful groove. When out front playing guitar & singing, he feels like he's “driving a tank” & it's inspiring. Most humbling of all, he's been told on occasion that he has inspired someone.
